This is to inform all candidates whose names have been shortlisted for the MDCN
November, 2023 Assessment Examination to read and note carefully the following
instructions:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CLINICAL PART OF THE EXAMINATION.
The clinical part of the examination will hold on Thursday, 23rd November, 2023 at
Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) Kano, Kano State.
Medical candidates have been divided to appear for the clinical examination as follows:
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0001 – 2023/B/M/0110
(Faculty of Clinical Science Theatre):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0111 – 2023/B/M/0210
(Faculty of Dental Theatre):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0211 – 2023/B/M/0355
(Twin Theatre A):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0356 – 2023/B/M/0500
(Twin Theatre B):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0501 – 2023/B/M/0585
(Faculty of Clinical Science Theatre):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0586 – 2023/B/M/0670
(Faculty of Dental Theatre):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0671 – 2023/B/M/0755
(Twin Theatre A):
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0756 – 2023/B/M/0836
(Twin Theatre B):

Dental candidates are to appear for the clinical examination as follows:
• Candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/D/0001 – 2023/B/D/0026
(Faculty of Dentistry):

Medical candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0001 – 2023/B/M/0500 are
to report at College of Health Sciences, Bayero University Kano, Office of the Provosts
at 7:00 am, while medical candidates with examination numbers: 2023/B/M/0501 –
2023/B/M/0836
 are to report at the same venue at 10:00 am prompt. However, all dental
candidates are to report at Faculty of Dentistry at 7:00am prompt for accreditation before
the commencement of the examination.
Candidates are expected to dress formally for this examination (The use of slippers and
any form of informal dressings will not be allowed into the examination center). In
addition, candidates will not be admitted into the premises of the Clinical Examination
Centers with bags or devices such as cellphones, smart wrist watches, pen, digital vision
glasses etc.
However, Medical candidates are required to come with their individual:
• Stethoscope
• Diagnostics Set
• Patella Hammer
• Tape Rule
Dental candidates are required to come with their individual:
• Mouth Mirror
• Probes
• Tweezers
All candidates must SIGN IN before the examination and SIGN OUT the attendance
register at the end of the examination.
Any candidate, that reports for examination later than 30 minutes after the
commencement of the examination will be disallowed from writing the examination.
Please note that candidates are to ensure strict compliance with these examination rules.
