Medical Officer


Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This role entails being part of a team providing 24 hours medical cover and immediate first line resuscitation to all hospital patients, visitors or staff members as required, and to assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to all consultants.
  • This is a permanent role for all day and Night Doctors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality medical care under the supervision and direction of The Director Clinical Services and consultants.
  • Conduct day to day review of patients, monitors the treatment procedure along with nursing staff
  • Responsible for giving emergency medical care to both in and out-patients
  • Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are maintained for patients with an appropriate signed and dated legible entry in the patient’s medical record on every attendance upon a patient. The Medical Officer should also print his/her name under the signature
  • Contribute to quality patient care by participation in case planning which includes appropriate pre-admission planning, in-hospital care and discharge planning
  • Provide assistance with surgical procedures and outpatient clinics as may be required from time to time
  • Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment and discharge as required and also as may be directed by the Medical Director
  • Maintain good communications with all departments of the hospital to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the hospital. Also take charge of the entire team of medical staff during his shift
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate
  • To participate in weekend shift rosters is a requirement of this position
  • Maintain close links and inform the operating Officer of all issues likely to affect the operations of the Business.
  • Work alongside other staff to contribute to the development of the hospitalas a whole; undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Medical Director.

Requirements

  • To pursue the career of Medical Officer with the Hospital, the individual must have completed Medical Degree, NYSC.
  • 3 – 5 years work experience.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
