The Radiologist is a medical professional who uses advanced imaging techniques to create detailed images of the body’s internal structures. Your main role is to accurately diagnose various medical conditions by interpreting these images. Overall, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries, making a significant impact on patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals, communicate findings, and provide insights to ensure effective patient care.
  • Staying updated with the latest technology and collaborating with the medical team are key aspects of the job.
  • Reviewing and interpreting medical images to determine patient status and future medical care
  • Determining the exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders
  • Administering trace amounts of radioactive substances to create and enhance diagnostic images
  • Performing minimally invasive surgical techniques with image guidance
  • Working with primary care doctors, nurses and radiology technicians to administer treatment and manage pain.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of general surgery practices to help diagnose and treat injuries
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong motor skills and manual dexterity to handle small tools and imaging equipment
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours based on the clinic’s needs
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail to interpret imaging results
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: ₦400,000.00 – ₦600,000.00 per month

  • Awka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
